This Japanese-group plum requires specific companion trees within 200 feet for pollination. The best options are Pembina Plum or Western Sand Cherry. 

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

Develop in Alberta and exceptionally well suited to cold climates, Brookred plum bears abundant deep red fruit with earthy-orange flesh. The fruit are sweet, medium-sized, and ideal for fresh eating and preserves.

 PRE-ORDER DETAILS

This item will be available for local pick-up in late May 2026 (close to planting out time). This tree is potted spring nursery stock and will be between 5 - 6' tall at time of pick-up. Trees and shrubs are warrantied for 1 year from date of pick-up, provided they are planted after June 1, and watered/cared for as required (see refund policy for full details).

No changes or cancellations to orchard plant pre-orders after March 15, 2026, and orders must be picked-up within 14 days of "pick-up" notification being sent in late May.
