Sage Garden Herbs Returns Policy
All returns require receipt. Gift receipts are available upon request for all transactions.
Plants are final sale unless covered under warranty (see below). We recognize that occasionally plants grown with the best of intentions just don't make it, and will always work with our customers to find a solution for plant concerns.
Due to the seasonal/perishable nature of plants, special order & pre-booked plants are non-refundable.
Hardy trees and shrubs offered at Sage Garden are all rated for our zone and grown in Manitoba. We warranty zone 1 - 3 trees and shrubs for one year from date of purchase. Clearance / end of season hardy plants are not covered by any warranty.
Warranty claims are honoured by replacement with equivalent plant material. In the event that we do not have an equivalent available, we work with customers to find the most suitable replacement.
Warranty is not applicable if damage is caused by animals or other physical injury, if the plant material is un-planted, or if planted into raised garden boxes or planters. Receipts and the dead plant material are required for warranty replacement; we encourage customers to have their name added to the receipt for tree and shrub purchases, so that qualifying warranty transactions can easily be looked up in our sales system (in case you mis-place your receipt, we can look up the original transaction - without your name we cannot).
Tree and shrub warranty does not apply to any plants purchased at a discount of 20% or more.
Please note: Zone 1 - 3 perennials are guaranteed healthy and viable for planting in their first season. We provide the most accurate zone hardiness guidelines we can based on our first hand experience (from our on-site gardens), feedback from customers, and information gathered from our suppliers. However, zone hardiness is variable based on the timing of frosts and thaws, snow cover, and individual micro climates. Perennials are not covered by warranty.
Seeds in unopened packs may be returned for exchange within 14 days of purchase. All seeds are stamped with lot and sell by dates for the current year. If your seeds fail to germinate, please explain the circumstance and we will either replace or offer suggestions for germination.
Eco-Lawn and all special order items are non-refundable. Please note that Eco-Lawn seed has particular requirements when establishing; full instructions are available at the greenhouse, on our website and on the Wildflower Farms website. Eco-Lawn seed is tested by an independent laboratory each season for purity, quality and germination. This information is stamped on all bags sold.
Books and gift store items may be returned for refund for 14 days from date of purchase.
Any product purchased in-store but not listed above many be returned for refund for 14 days from date of purchase or store credit 15 to 30 days from date of purchase, provided they are in resalable condition and receipt is presented.
On-line plant purchases:
Live plant material is photographed and documented the day it is packed for shipping. Plants are carefully wrapped and boxed for shipping, however some yellowing or light damage to leaves can occur due to the rigours of shipping; this is not considered unusual. However, if plants are significantly damaged during shipping please photograph the plants and contact us within 72 hours of receipt. No refunds or reships are available without photo documentation of damage, or if we are not contacted within 72 hours of plants arriving (as confirmed by shipment tracking). If you have any problems with your order please call us at 204-257-2715 during our business hours, rather than emailing or using using other forms of messaging.
Please note: live plants may be shipped in slightly different pots than described or displayed in online photos, based on seasonal changes and suitability for packing. We reserve the right to choose the plants/size best suited for shipping.
