|
Black currants are loaded with healthy anthocyanins (anti-oxidants), and are reliable, hardy orchard plants for the prairie climate. Ben Conan black currants are very compact, highly productive shrubs with masses of berries starting in mid-July and continuing for several weeks. This cultivar is also more disease resistant compared to other black currants on the market. The fruit is tart (as is the case with all black currants), but beloved for baking and processing. |
