Sometimes it is important to ignore the "crabapple" word associated with some very choice edible apples! Chestnut was developed at the University of Minnesota, and is extremely cold hardy, bears large fruit that are super tasty for fresh eating, but also ideal for ciders and other applications that crabapples are know for. The fruit matures in late August.

This item will be available for local pick-up in late May 2026 (close to planting out time). This tree is potted spring nursery stock and will be between 5 - 6' tall at time of pick-up. Trees and shrubs are warrantied for 1 year from date of pick-up, provided they are planted after June 1, and watered/cared for as required (see refund policy for full details).

No changes or cancellations to orchard plant pre-orders after March 15, 2026, and orders must be picked-up within 14 days of "pick-up" notification being sent in late May.
