Details: Join Dave in one of his favourite activities: planning what types of herbs, veggies and companion flowers to grow in the kitchen garden. We’ll discuss which plants to start from seed, what works better as cuttings or nursery plants, how to plan for different types of spaces (in ground, square foot, containers, raised beds, balconies etc), how to choose the most flavourful herb and veggie options, and how to intermingle attractive pollinator-attracting ornamentals into the kitchen garden space.

As a hands-on class, we’ll also map out a timeline for varieties being started from seed, which is key to successful and satisfying seed starting. Plus, all participants will take home three organic seed packs (a fruiting veggie, a leafy veggie and an herb) to start at home!

• Instruction on how to choose the best varieties for your dream kitchen garden, and then make it happen! Dave is extremely knowledgeable on variety selection for just about any kitchen garden theme and has personal experience growing a huge range of edible plants

• Three packs of organic seeds to take home, ensuring a solid start to your 2025 kitchen garden
