Apples require another apple or crabapple with in approximately 500 feet. In urban settings, there are typically trees close enough that you do not need a second tree in your own yard.

 KEY ATTRIBUTES:

Developed at the Morden Research Station in the 1950s, Kerr is a cross between the exceptionally hardy Dolgo crabapple and the tasty Haralson apple. The result is a sweet, juicy and highly versatile eating apple that is also very well adapted to the rigours of the prairie climate. The apples can be used for fresh eating, juice, cider and baking. They also store really well! 

DETAILS

This item will be available for local pick-up in late May 2025 (close to planting out time). This tree is spring nursery stock and will be 5-6 feet tall at time of pick-up. Trees and shrubs are warrantied for 1 year from date of pick-up, provided they are planted after June 1, and watered/cared for as required (see refund policy for full details).

No changes or cancellations to orchard plant pre-orders after March 1, 2025, and orders must be picked-up within 14 days of "pick-up" notification being sent in late May. Sage Garden reserves the right to make an appropriate substitution in the event of crop shortages.
