For blueberries to produce well, they require at least two different cultivars to be planted in proximity. Blueberries also require acidic soil to thrive; consider adding unconditioned peat moss or sulphur to the garden to achieve the required pH of approximately 4.2 - 5. |
KEY ATTRIBUTES: |
|
Chippewa is a unique cross between low bush and high bush blueberry varieties, yielding a robust, cold hardy plant. The berries are medium-sized, sweet and produced abundantly once plants are well established in an acidic soil. |
