Plant asparagus in composty, well-draining soil in hills with roots splayed over the hill at time of transplanting, then covered with soil by back filling. First harvest in 1-2 years. The plants are extremely hardy and produce for 15 - 20 years once established. |

This item will be available for local pick-up in late May 2025 (close to planting out time). This plant is spring nursery stock and will be well established in 4.5" pots at time of pick-up. Trees and shrubs are warrantied for 1 year from date of pick-up, provided they are planted after June 1, and watered/cared for as required (see refund policy for full details). Asparagus plants have specific planting requirements, including splaying the roots across a hilled mound and then back filling with soil (as opposed to digging a planting hole. Be sure to ask if you have questions. No changes or cancellations to orchard plant pre-orders after March 1, 2025, and orders must be picked-up within 14 days of "pick-up" notification being sent in late May. Sage Garden reserves the right to make an appropriate substitution in the event of crop shortages. |
