Planting a creeping thyme tapestry

You can probably imagine this: a colourful swatch of ground filled with fragrant blooming thyme and native bees, ladybugs and other beneficials contentedly making their way among the flowers, drinking-up nectar. Pretty idyllic, eh!! More and more gardeners are looking for alternative ground covers, even for small areas of lawn, and thyme can be an exciting option. First of all, there are many styles to choose from that are fully hardy in zone 3. Secondly, this style of landscaping can fulfil several objectives all at once (naturescape, no-mow, engaging visually, fragrant and/or culinary).
