Nature, the seasons, the stars… fall is a time of change, transition and growth:

This workshop will give participants a starting place to explore the relationship to our internal and external environments through the lens of Western Astrology. Along side your instructor, Bethany, you will explore the twelve zodiac signs and how they live in our bodies, the seasons here in Manitoba, and the plant life around us through our own observations and collective wisdom. Based on the premise that astrology is an archetypal language that lives within and around us, participants will be encouraged to feel into their unique perspectives on how these energies show up in their own lives and share to the degree they are comfortable with.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing they can move in and may want to bring a copy of their birth charts if they have access to them, though not necessary for participation in the material (there are free online resources to generate a birth chart, which is a visual map of the sun, moon and planets at the exact date, minute and location of your birth).

Instructor Bio: Bethany Swanson RMT, BA I am a queer parent and an ongoing student of the body, somatics and the cyclical nature of things. I explore these through my vocation as a bodyworker, the practice of parenting myself and my child, a passion for astrology, tarot and archetypal language and exploring a sense of wonder and relationship to the unknowable. I am interested in how our relationships and attitudes towards our bodies are reflected in our relationship to land and how we can build community and practices that honour the sovereignty and the sacredness of the living earth within and around us.
