Description: What a wonderful woodland plant! Sweet Woodruff grows easily under deciduous trees in very shady conditions, and is equally happy spilling out into part sun paths in the garden. The white flowers appear en mass in early spring, and are sweetly scented. Dried leaves are fantastic potpourri, with an earthy-vanilla aroma, and are famous for flavouring traditional May wine. 

Sweet Woodruff is a reliable perennial that spends its first year setting roots and then really starts to show-up as a carpet starting in year two.
