Description: We love combining this style of strawberry with herbs and edible flowers in mixed pots. Or, go for the gusto and and create a straight up huge hanging basket just dedicated to the berries! This variety - while hardy in the garden - is at its best in containers, particularly where runners can cascade and the fruit dangle. 

If you prefer to grow in beds, many prairie gardeners find success wintering this berry, even if technically rated for zone 4. We plant this style of strawberry out in 30 cm tall raised beds and find they winter most years. You can always add a layer of loose mulch (loose leaves, wheat straw or Typha) for insurance.
