The first crop Sold Out. More to come.

Container Size: The plant pictured here is from our in-store selection. Exact pot size/style may vary.

Details: These little darlings are very, very cool. The plant develops a flower stem followed by architectural leafy stems, all growing from the "potato-like" above-ground caudex! Stephania erecta thrives on warmth, humidity and low light, and we have our in-store plants displayed in tall mason jars to create a mini terrarium environment for them. At home, you can grow them up in the mason jar or transfer to a well-draining pot - but remember they do like their humidity. Water the soil sparingly, but perhaps keep your plant in an enclosure or near a regular source of humidity. Since Stephania erecta has many reserves stored up in its caudex you do not need to fertilize initially; however, we do recommend fertilizing with Evolve Organic All-Purpose monthly once your plant has put on true leaves.

These plants develop slowly over months, and our plants are currently at the stage where they display their initial flower stem. You can expect the leafy growth to develop over the next couple of months and roots may not develop from the bottom of the caudex for several more months.

Order Info: We are not currently taking web or phone orders for live plants, instead focusing on our in-store availability at the garden centre. Please be aware that inventory can change quickly and is not updated in real-time, so feel free to call ahead to confirm availability on items you are particularly excited about!

Shipping Info: Due to ongoing disruptions with Canada Post delivery guarantees and the difficulty of safely shipping live plants during summer heat we are pausing shipping of live plants until further notice (existing pre-orders are still being shipped, via FedEx Ground, and are unaffected by this notice).
