Germination Instructions: Painted Daisies germinate best with bottom heat and a preferred soil temperature of 18-21°C. The seeds can be started indoors anytime from mid-February to mid-April; the earlier they are started the earlier they are to bloom. Sow 3 seeds per plug cell or starter pot.
Alternatively, seeds can be sown directly to the garden as soon as the soil can be turned (a few weeks before the average last frost date) or in late October before the snow has accumulated. Direct-seeded plants will likely not bloom until the second year if sown in spring.
Growing in Containers: Not suited for containers.
Fertilizing (Garden): Plant in average garden soil, and feed with an organic bloom fertilizer monthly.
