Latin Name: Ipomoea purpurea
Main Uses: Flowering plant; Flowering vine.
Zone Hardiness: Annual (may also reseed)

Flower Color: A mix of deep purple, pink, and white flowers.
Flowering Time: Mid-July through fall.

Germination: 5 - 7 days at 21°C.
Pretreatment: Seeds benefit from pre-soaking in warm water overnight.
Sowing: Indoors 2 - 3 weeks before the last frost. 2 - 3 seeds per cell. For best results, apply Sea Magic™ kelp from first watering. Apply a seedling-starter fertilizer such as Evolve Seedling once the second set of true leaves has appeared, and then alternate between the kelp and seedling starter until transplant. Outdoors, direct sow after last frost.
Planting Depth: 1/4" deep, push into the soil.

Spacing: 1.5 feet apart, if growing in a row.
Notes: Prior to sowing, Morning Glory seeds should either be scarified by gently nicking the hull with a file, or the seeds can be soaked in room temperature water for 24 hours, to soften the hull.
