Description: This is one of our favourite perennial herbs for zone 3. Anise Hyssop has deliciously fragrant foliage, grows well in part shade and bears masses of bee-attracting purple blooms in mid to late summer. The fresh or dried leaves make tasty tea, with a minty-licorice flavour (sounds weird, tastes great!).
So seeds indoors anytime from March through late April to establish transplants for the summer garden. Once planted outdoors Anise Hyssop is reliable through prairie winters.
