Description: Milkweed plants are essential to Monarch butterflies, as the leaves are the only food source for Monarch caterpillars. Milkweed flowers are also a nectar source for Monarch and other butterflies. This Manitoba-native species has white flowers and a more compact habit compared to Swamp Milkweed.
