Description: Hardy hibiscus are zone 4 perennials but are worth the effort in coaxing them through our zone 3 winters. The flowers are huge (8 - 9”!!!) and neighbours will stop in their tracks to admire them. The deep red flowers of ‘Midnight Marvel’ have such a tropical look that you might feel like you have been transported to another world. The pollen-rich flowers will invite bees and butterflies into the daydream.

We have seen many examples of local gardeners wintering these outdoors... but mulching is always a good idea for plants rated at zone 4.
