You’ll be amazed by the diversity of herbs you can grow… 

Your instructor, Dave, has been collecting herbs since he was a teenager, and has a huge collection of rare, regional and choice herbs to share with you. The goal: to showcase the many varieties that are rarely offered, but often have more flavour or other choice qualities when compared to standard herbs common at garden centres. Of particular interest are varieties that come from specific regions, allowing local gardeners to authentically create recipes from all around the world!. 

This is a hands on class, and you’ll get the exclusive opportunity to propagate from Dave’s special collection. Think ‘Amsterdam Lemon Mint’, the rare and remarkable ‘Cretan Oregano’, unusual selections of thyme, the super sweet ‘Vietnamese Mint’ and more. 

Dave will also share all that he has learned about growing herbs in a cold climate, including in-ground and in pots. There will be a ton of info and goodies to take home from this class!

Workshop Details

• This workshop starts at 1:00 pm and runs to about 2:45 pm
• The maximum class size is 12 participants
• Perfect for all experience levels
• Everyone will propagate at least five choice and hard to find herbs to enjoy this summer
• All materials included - cuttings, organic soil, and sustainable wood fibre starter pots
• Pre-registration with payment in full is required to reserve workshop spaces
• Sage Garden Member's qualify for a 10% discount on all classes

Cancellation Policy

• Fully refundable up to 48 hours before class starts
• Cancellations after 48 hours but before class starts are refundable as a store credit
• No refunds or credits for cancellations after class has started

• As a courtesy to instructors and other guests, please do not attend classes if you have symptoms of any winter illnesses (refundable as per terms above)
