At Sage Garden, almost all of our plants are potted in an house-blended combination of OMRI organic Sea Soil and SunGro bales. These two ingredients have proven themselves to be ideal for everything from standard seed starting to potting up and even for raised beds! The Sea Soil provides exceptional slow-release nutrients, water management properties, and micro-organisms that encourage healthy plants. The Sungro mix has an excellent texture and aeration that other options do not match.

We call the standard version of this combo a 1:1 mix since we use one grower bale and one bag of Sea Soil (for plants that like even more compost (e.g. container fruits, squash, leafy herbs), we use a 2:1 mix, with one bale and two bags of Sea Soil).

Each 1:1 bundle makes approximately 230L of mix and can be stored in a dry location until you are ready to put it to work.

Use for:

• Repotting houseplants
• Starting seeds
• Transplanting seedlings
• Filling outdoor pots and baskets
• As an alternative to topsoil for raised beds
