Registration: Garden Club is always FREE and there is no need to pre-register... just grab a friend and come on down. Garden Clubs take place at Sage Garden Greenhouses, and participants meet at our main greenhouse starting around 10:15, so we can get going right at 10:30. 

We do ask that participants bring a non-perishable food item for donation. All donations are picked up by the hardworking volunteers at St. Mary's Road United Church, which operates a busy food bank in St. Vital, serving an average of 700 people per month. 

Details: Join Dodie Graham McKay, author of Earth Magic: The Elements of Witchcraft for an in-depth discussion on earth magic and green witchcraft. This workshop is for anyone who wants to find more ways to connect deeply with the earth and build a relationship with the plant allies in our homes and gardens.

We will discuss how you can establish a reciprocal relationship with the natural world and find new ways to relate to the earth spirits and energies around you. The practice of earth magic can sometimes mean getting your hands dirty and engaging all of your senses. This workshop is packed full of ideas and suggestions to bring the element of earth into your own spiritual practice, your garden (or nearest green space) and your home.

About the host: Dodie Graham McKay is a writer, green witch, and filmmaker. She is inspired to document and share stories that capture the beauty of nature and the visible and invisible realms of magic and witchcraft. She is the author of the books Earth Magic: The Elements of Witchcraft (Llewellyn, 2021), and the forthcoming The Witch’s Ally: Building a Magical Relationship with Familiars & Animal Companions (Llewellyn, 2024), and her documentary films include The WinniPagans Starry Nights and the Fibe TV 4-part series Exploring the Sacred.
