Description: Echinacea, also know as Purple Coneflower, is an essential perennial in prairie gardens, attracting Monarchs, along with other butterflies, bees and more that feed on the nectar from the vibrant orange-red cones in the centre of the purple petals. Purple Coneflower blooms for an extended period starting in early summer. Mixes really well with other prairie-friendly perennials such as Liatris, Helenium, Rudbeckia, Yarrow and Wild Bergamot. 

These echinacea plants are grown from seed of true Echinacea purpurea - not hybrids - providing the best flower-form for pollinators, as well as the most reliable winter hardiness.
