Botanical Name: Salvia discolor
Description: Deep indigo flowers are so close to black! Attractive foliage is a soft green on top and pure white underneath, with a refreshing eucalyptus-like aroma. Grows as a beautiful potted planted... nothing like what you'd imagine a sage to be.
Flowers are edible. Blooms in summer, but again in winter. Semi-trailing.
Peruvian Sage is an excellent potted plant to winter indoors, provided a bright location. It loves to be pruned back, as the stems can grow quite long otherwise. The flowering stems are so full of aromatic oils they can be sticky!
