Description:  This is a prized traditional sunflower variety long used as a source of earthy-coloured dyes in a range of hues, as well as for food and as a naturescape plant. For dyeing, it is the seeds that are used, soaked in water to create a dye concentrate. These are lovely, tall sunflowers with classic golden petals surrounding dark centres.
