Description: Compact, sturdy plants yield loads of dark green, 3” - 3 1/2” thick-walled fruits that mature to red. Ideal for containers. Great flavour with medium heat, measuring 5,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Harvest green or red.

Germination: 14 days at 21 - 25° C.
Sowing: Sow a minimum of 10 - 12 weeks before planting out date. Bottom heat improves germination rates and times. If growing indoors under lights, sow anytime. For best results, apply Sea Magic™ kelp from first watering. Apply a seedling-starter fertilizer such as Evolve Seedling once the second set of true leaves has appeared, and then alternate between the kelp and seedling starter until transplant.
Planting depth: Lightly covered.
Planting in the garden: Wait to transplant outdoors until soil is warm (on average between June 1-7, in southern MB).
Space: 12” to 24” apart.

Growing in Containers: Well-suited to larger pots (12 inches and up)

Fertilizing (Containers): Feed with an organic veggie fertilizer through season.

Watering (Containers): Water containers deeply when top inch feels dry to the touch. Monitor every day or two during very hot weather.

Growing in Mixed Planters: Well-suited for larger mixed planters. Think square foot gardening!

Fertilizing (Garden): Plant in a garden recently amended with compost. Application of Kelp fertilizer is beneficial.

Watering (Garden): Water to establish (first two weeks). Once establlished, water weekly to maximize productivity.

Suitability for Indoors: Not well-suited for indoors - may be grown as a specialized crop.

Exposure: Full sun or grow lights.
