Lava rock is a popular amendment in many container mixes, and in particular for bonsai and tropical plants. The highly porous pebbles allow for exceptional aeration, reducing the impact of over watering and helping to prevent root rot. It is common to include lava rock as an ingredient in more traditional mixes. 

This product has been double washed (to remove dust) and is ready to use.
