At Sage Garden, almost all of our plants are potted in an in-house blended combination of OMRI organic Sungrow and Sea Soil. These two organic potting-mix ingredients have proven themselves to be ideal for everything from standard seed starting to potting up and even for raised beds! The Sea Soil provides exceptional slow-release nutrients, water management properties, and micro-organisms that encourage healthy plants. The organic Sungrow mix has an excellent texture and aeration that other options do not match.
We call the standard version of this combo a 1:1 mix since we use one grower bale and one bag of Sea Soil (for plants that like even more compost (e.g. container fruits, squash, leafy herbs), we use a 2:1 mix, with one bale and two bags of Sea Soil).
Each 1:1 bundle makes 140L of mix and can be stored in a dry location until you are ready to put it to work.

- Repotting houseplants
- Starting seeds
- Transplanting seedlings
- Filling outdoor pots and baskets
- As a 100% option for raised beds, such as Geoplanters
