Looking for an evergreen for zone 3 with a completely different vibe? The Morden Yew is a long standing variety that has proven 100% reliable through winters in zone 3! The soft needles are darker green towards the base and lighter green on fresh growth.

Morden Yew has a dense growth habit and thrives in a wide range of sun exposures.

Morden Yew is deer resistant. 

Bright red berries occur in fall, and provide food for birds (yew berries are toxic to humans, however, the birds' digestive system avoids the toxic component, so totally safe as a naturescape plant!).
