High output CFL Grow Lights are extremely cost effective, easy to set-up and efficient to operate. These bulbs fit into any standard screw-in light fixture. Full spectrum lights (6400K) mimic the sun of mid-afternoon in June: perfect for growing a wide variety of edible and ornamental plants. We recommend CFL grow lights for maintaining productive growth on plants wintered indoors. 13 Watt CFL bulbs are equivalent to 60 Watt incandescent bulbs in terms of light output... but use only about 1/4 the energy.  

13 Watt CFL full spectrum bulbs are a popular option for general lighting around the home; the light is similar to what is used in SAD's lamps and sets a more cheery tone indoors compared to the orang-y colour of common bulbs.
