Description: You can grow rice in your backyard! We've been growing Upland Rice for several years now, and have found it works very well in large pot and raised beds. This style of rice does not require paddy (very wet) conditions, and is easy to grow under normal garden conditions. Rice does have a long maturity time, so we fine best success in large pots that can be moved if early frost occurs. This is a fully culinary variety, but do note that threshing rice is not easy.
