The "Swiss Cheese" monstera, or M. adansonii, has been a classic houseplant for decades but has made a big splash in recent years as one of the more popular plants on Instagram. There are several forms, some with smaller, more lance-shaped leaves and some with broader leaves and a stalkier growth habit. All types are gorgeous! Swiss Cheese plants can be grown up a totem or other support, or allowed to ramble, perhaps from a hanging basket or across a wall (requires some attachment points to do this).

While Monstera deliciosa is possibly the most iconic of all houseplants, Swiss Cheese vines come in at a close second.
