Description: Enjoy home-grown granadilla fruit in containers! The summer flowers are show-stopping: large and red, with purple and white filaments. The fruit are incredibly aromatic and a treat to eat: open the ripe yellow fruit and suck out the delicious liquid and seeds inside!
The vigorous vines can be pruned hard for wintering indoors. Fruiting starts once plants are several years old (our plants are currently about 1 and 2 years old). Setting plants outdoors for summer significantly improves fruiting potential. Provide sturdy trellis support and the largest container that you can manage (up to approximately 5-gallons).
