Germination Instructions: Sow seeds outdoors 1" deep after danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed - corn does not tolerate cool soil. Corn is a heavy feeder and does best in well-drained fertile soil with plenty of water.
Ornamental corn can be started indoors in peat or coir pots 4 weeks before safe transplanting date (however, corn does not transplant well from standard pots).
Growing in Containers: Well-suited to larger pots (12 inches and up).
Growing in Mixed Planters: Can be grown in large mixed planters.
Fertilizing (Garden): Heavy-feeder that benefits from regular application of fish-based fertilizer.
Watering (Garden): Water regularly for best growth.
Suitability for Indoors: Not well-suited for indoors.
