Description: A unique stringless snap bean with an eye-catching red hue! Deep rose-purple pods are flat, like a Romano bean, with rich hearty flavour. Beans turn bright green when cooked. This variety, developed by crossing a purple snap bean with a pinto bean, was bred by Minnesota bean breeder Robert Lobitz. 4-6" pods

Artwork by Kathleen Marcotte. Inspired by Lobitz's saying, Kathleen highlights the bean's gemstone beauty in this digital depiction of Red Swan Bean. Look closely and you'll see that jewels and gemstones adorn the clusters of rose-dusted bean pods.
