Ladybugs (for INDOOR release)

Online ordering for this item will be back shortly. Please check back.

Indoor ladybugs have been impossible to source this winter.. but we will keep trying! Check back soon for any updates. We do not take orders for indoor ladybugs until we are sure of when we can get them from our supplier.

Ladybugs are excellent general predators, and the larvae are particularly voracious aphid-eaters! Indoors, ladybugs are extremely diligent bug eaters and they will clean up aphids and other soft-bodied pests very effectively. They do require water at the time of release, so mist your plants before setting the ladybugs out. If you are using any type of high intensity grow lights, turn them off before release as the ladybugs will be drawn to the light and forget about eating.

1,000 ladybugs sounds like a lot, but you can release them over a period of weeks if you want to spread things out. If you have a lot of plants or a grow room and are concerned about pests, you can certainly release the full 1,000 at a time.

Unreleased ladybugs can be stored for 4 - 6 weeks at 4˚C (in the fridge).

The ladybugs offered through Sage Garden are native species that will not have a negative impact on existing ladybug populations.
