Junior Botanist Club
All-new themes for the winter term, with a focus on natures incredible ability to adapt to unique environments! By looking, feeling, learning (and yes sometimes even tasting!) the wide variety of plants at Sage Garden Greenhouse, we will examine how plants have evolved to fit diverse environments around the world. Leaf shape, water retention in stems, even root length are just some of the adaptations we'll discuss. Your child will develop an appreciation for the diversity of plants and leave every week with a new hands-on activity to take home.
Does your child notice the plants around them every day? At Sage Garden we want our junior botanists to connect with plants in a hands-on, fun-filled environment that emphasizes a connection to the natural world.
Each session, the young botanists will meet new and fascinating plants, dig into a cool growing activity (to take home!) and get rooted in a topic using stories, games and crafts. Everything from spicy tropicals to pollinator-friendly native plants will be showcased, with an emphasis on decorative, edible and useful botanicals. Not only will our budding botanists develop new skills with home and garden planting techniques, but they will also have the opportunity to learn cool greenhouse tips and tricks that take their savvy to a whole new level!
