You can use a variety of standard-sized plug trays or biodegradable pots (not included) to sow your seeds within the kit, where they will germinate reliably in the warm, light-filled environment. Set-up takes just a few minutes and you can enjoy watching your seedlings grow anywhere in your home! 

The two included 24" T5 lights (these include ballasts + bulbs, and all connectors/electrical cords to get set up really fast!) are rated at 6400K for ideal seedling growth and draw very little power. The bulbs are rated at 10,000 hours of use, and can easily be replaced when the time comes. We recommend leaving lights on 16 hours per day, with 8 hours of "off" time for best seedling development. 

Our included organic potting mix has high-quality compost pre-mixed into the blend, ensuring your seedlings get off to a strong and healthy start.

The included Sea Magic Kelp is one of the most popular natural supplements used in seed-starting, encouraging faster germination, strong root development and reduction in fungal diseases such as Damping Off. We recommend continuing to apply kelp as your plants grow up, adding Evolve Organic Seedling Starter once young plants have reached the two-leaf stage.
