Coming soon! Please check back.
The best things about this plant are... the wonderfully fragrant leaves and the possibility of small citrus fruits indoors!
Details: Calamansi (also spelled kalamansi) is a citrus fruit popular in the Philipines and widely distributed across South East Asia. It is thought to be a hybrid between kumquats and mandarin oranges. The orange fruits have a definite sour aspect to them, which makes a stand-out ingredient for drinks, baking, garnish, marinades and more. Both the peel and insides are used when consumed.
Grow Calamansi in a bright location away from heating and air conditioning vents. Citrus do best on tall pots and prefer soil with lots of compost. Water weekly in summer and every 7-10 days in winter. Feed with an all-purpose organic plant food year-round. Blooms will start once Calamansi is settled into its permanent home.
Calamansi is typically offered in 8" tall citrus pots.
