Description: Classic garden flower with cascading burgundy tassels. The ancient grain from Peru was once cultivated by the Incas. Seeds can be harvested and cooked much like quinoa and are very high in protein and iron. Grown for use as cereal and in ancient religious ceremonies. Long red ropelike seed-bearing trusses give plants an ornamental and graceful appearance. Great for long-lasting displays.
