Description: Equally unlikely and charming! She goes by many marvelous names, from drumstick flowers to billy balls to sun ball. Craspedia is easy to grow, producing a bustling skyline of inch-wide golden blossoms on long 20+ inch silver stems perfect for both fresh and dry bouquets. With a 2′ silvery tuft of gorgeous foliage, Craspedia makes very few demands, thriving in poor soil and even in drought. Indeed, she is native to Australia and perennial in Zones 9 through 12, though Craspedia is very easy to grow as an annual in other zones.

Harvest for bouquets at full bloom, when spheres are uniformly golden. For straight stems in dry arrangements, hang Craspedia upside down to dry two weeks before arranging.
