Description: These small rounded carrots add a gourmet touch in the kitchen, particularly for rustic country recipes from France and Italy. The small nature of Tonda di Parigi carrots also solves the problem of growing in heavier soils, where traditional carrots tend to become stunted.

This is an old French heirloom and is synonymous with the variety known as Paris Market.

Fertilizing (Garden): Plant in a garden bed amended with compost. No additional fertilizer is required.

Watering (Garden): Water new transplants regularly to establish roots. Once established, water deeply as required.

Companion Planting: Dill and Cilantro are said to be harmful to carrots because of a substance that is excreted through their roots.

Harvesting: Harvest just after a frost for best flavour.

Suitability for Indoors: Carrots are a specialized project for indoor growing... but very satisfying! Providing grow lights is the main requirement for successful indoor carrots.

What about Grow Lights? Grow lights are required to grow this crop indoors.
